Trustee Opening

TRUSTEE OPENING:

 

The Lansing Public Library would like to announce it will have an open seat on the Board of Trustees starting in May of 2025.

 

Because no candidate ran for the open six-year board seat, the Board of Trustees is inviting interested Lansing residents to send their Letters of Interest for the position. Please include in the letter what qualities, resources, experience, and knowledge that you believe would make you the ideal candidate for the position. Letters can be sent to Lisa Korajczyk, the Library Director, at

lisak@lansingpl.org.

 

Under Illinois law, (75 ILCS 16/) Public Library District Act of 1991, all persons interested in

becoming a library trustee must meet the following criteria 1) they have lived in the community for at least one year 2) have paid their library taxes, and 3) have not been convicted of a felony.

 

Please submit your Letter of Interest no later than May 8, 2025 by 5:00 pm. You may bring the letter into the library and deliver it by hand. Please mark it to the attention of the Library Director, Lisa Korajczyk or again, you may email the letter to Lisa Korajczyk at lisak@lansingpl.org.

 

The Lansing Board of Trustees looks forward to meeting a variety of interested candidates for the position, and will choose someone that they best feel understands the mission and goals of the Lansing Public Library.
