In this class we will be making small square boxes with a leaf closure. These little boxes can be made for birthdays, parties, and holidays. Make them ahead and fill them with chocolates, mints and tiny toys.

For one box you will need:

  • A leaf box pattern (posted below)
  • Paper to make the box
  • Stick glue
  • Scissors
  • A pencil or pen to trace the pattern
  • A small ruler or a bone folder
  • Treats to fill your box are optional

You can use any kind of paper to make these small boxes. Just make sure the paper is not too thick or stiff to fold. You can use patterned paper if you wish. Or even stamp on your box with a pattern that you like. If you use a stamp on your box, do that part before folding your paper.

The kit will be available at the library one week before class for those who register. This kit will include the pattern and paper to make 3 boxes.  Limit one kit per person.
